YATTA is an interactive visual theatre performance about connection, timing, and the strange systems that shape how we meet one another. The piece follows two lonely cats trying to find a real connection, while below them a careless caretaker repeatedly disrupts the cogs affecting their journey. Combining projection, puppetry, live sound, movement, and audience choice, YATTA creates two worlds at once: the visible world of longing and near-misses, and the hidden world of error, mechanism, and comic disruption. Playful, surreal, and emotionally direct, the work explores luck, persistence, and the stubborn act of continuing towards connection.
Upstairs / Downstairs follows two lonely cats who set out in search of a real connection. Each time they get close to meeting, something absurd sends them back again. Unseen by them, a careless caretaker below keeps interfering with the cogs shaping their journey, turning chance into delay, near-misses, and comic disruption. Funny, strange, and tender, YATTA is a story about timing, luck, and the stubborn search for connection.

Jagoda | The Void Architect

The divine hand that draws the cats into being. Jagoda scripts the tragicomedy of existence, ensuring every missed connection feels properly agonising. She is the voice in the dark, explaining exactly how the system is failing you with a tone of hauntingly cheerful despair, while also co-directing the piece and managing the production so the ship sinks beautifully, on time, and within budget.
Takatsuna | The Sonic Mechanist
Role: Co-Director / Composer / Sound Designer / Story / Performer

Master of beautiful breakdowns. Takatsuna composes the emotional weather of the piece, where melodies slip, rhythms glitch, and timing collapses at the worst possible moment. Working between precision and chaos, he co-directs the hidden mechanics of connection — proving that sometimes the smallest sonic accident can change the entire story.
Toshiko | The Paper Dreammaker
Role: Origami Artist / Puppetry Designer / Visual Maker

Toshiko folds the impossible into shape. Through origami, crafted forms, and delicate visual worlds, she brings a sense of play, fragility, and wonder to YATTA. Her work gives the piece its handmade heart — creating landscapes, textures, and visual poetry that feel as though they could flutter away at any moment, even while holding the emotional weight of the story.
