Art'Morte Collective is a group of passionate artists and thinkers dedicated to exploring the darker, often taboo aspects of the human experience through various artistic mediums. We believe that confronting these difficult subjects head-on can lead to greater understanding, empathy, and healing. Our work spans literature, theater, visual arts, and more, all aimed at shedding light on the complexities of the human condition.
We are currently working on a movement-based stage adaptation of 'No Longer Human' by Osamu Dazai. The creative team includes Jagoda Kamov, Mika Shirahama, Peijia Hu, Takatsuna Mukai, Gillian Mclver, Hanya Elghamry, Reiko Nagayoshi.

Our panel of experts will delve into these important topics and explore how they are portrayed in the stage adaptation of Dazai's writings. Panel Leadership and Guests:

The panel talk will be led by Jagoda Kamov, a distinguished member of Art'Morte Collective. Jagoda Kamov is a renowned director and playwright with a keen interest in exploring complex psychological and societal issues through theater. Her work is known for its emotional depth and intellectual rigor, making her an ideal leader for this discussion. We will also have guests from various mental health institutes and related fields joining us to provide their insights and expertise. Their contributions will help deepen our understanding of the issues at hand and enrich the conversation.
Our Current Project:

We are in the early stages of adapting Osamu Dazai's book "No Longer Human" into a theater play. To accompany this production, we are launching a series of panel talks every two to three weeks, where our team will discuss different themes from the book that resonate deeply with us. These discussions will cover topics such as mental health, suicide, and sexual abuse, which are poignantly addressed in Dazai's work.

This panel talk is part of our ongoing mission to provoke thought and dialogue around issues that are often stigmatized or ignored.
